Media Resources Inc., an Oakville, Ont.-based sign shop has announced the acquisition of an in-store retail signage and display solutions provider headquartered in Mississauga, Ont.
Media Resources says the acquisition of Impulse Graphics & Display Solutions complements its business and aligns with its growth strategy in the signage, billboard, media, and out-of-home (OOH) advertising sectors, and allows the brand to extend its reach into the retail and point-of-purchase (POP) industry verticals.
Impulse Graphics has worked with several well-known multinational companies during its 45-year span, offering a broad selection of customized retail signage, in-store displays, and store décor solutions.
“Combining the two organizations will provide our clients with the latest production technologies and efficiencies, along with expanded logistical capabilities,” said Will Thomson, senior vice-president of print and 3D operations at Media Resources. “This acquisition will allow our customers to access enhanced in-store retail signage and display solutions and a Canada-wide distribution and installation program designed to provide organizations with a single source for their graphics and installation needs. It will further position our company to the forefront of in-store retail signage suppliers by delivering additional products and services that will help advertisers improve the in-store experience. We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to welcoming the employees of Impulse Graphics to the Media Resources family.”
“To remain a leader in an industry that is continuously evolving, one has to look at diversifying. This acquisition accomplishes that,” said Impulse Graphics’ president, Alexander Cachia. “With more than four decades of handling complex retail programs to some of North America’s recognized brands, our company adds value to Media Resources’ clients in areas that were not available to them in the past. Our equipment will also bring increased capabilities to their existing billboard customers. Conversely, our clients will now have access to various products, including digital indoor and outdoor light-emitting diode (LED) displays, 3D printing, and end-to-end installation services. An acquisition of this type benefits the client.”
