Here’s your quick morning update on news in the sign industry:

1. Advanced, a digital signage integrator headquartered in Mississauga, Ont., has installed a large, central video wall and nine individual screens at the Humberview Volkswagen (VW) dealership in nearby Toronto.

2. The sign, graphics and visual communications industry is growing faster than the pace of the overall economy, according to the International Sign Association’s (ISA’s) newest quarterly report.

3. In April, Samsung showcased a virtual cross-Canada train journey at Toronto’s Union Station, replacing the windows with its quantum dot light-emitting diode (QLED) TVs and ultra-high-definition (UHD) ‘4K’ content.

4. Signmaking software developer SA International (SAi) recently launched its first-ever EnRoute Design Contest with a formal call for entries at the International Sign Association’s (ISA’s) 2017 International Sign Expo.
