Samsung shrinks 3D signage into 32-inch display

Samsung Electronics is expanding its commercial display portfolio with the launch of a new 32-inch Spatial Signage model, bringing its glasses-free 3D technology to smaller retail and commercial environments.
The new SMHX model is designed for shelves, counters, and compact installations where brands want to showcase products with immersive visuals without requiring large-format displays.
“The 32-inch Spatial Signage makes immersive 3D accessible across a much wider range of commercial environments,” said Hyoung Jae Kim, executive vice-president of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display (VD) Business.
Binocular parallax
The launch follows Samsung’s earlier rollout of its 85-inch Spatial Signage display aimed at large retail installations. The smaller version targets retail, hospitality, entertainment, education, and public spaces where close-up viewing is key.
The display uses Samsung’s proprietary 3D Plate technology, creating a glasses-free three-dimensional effect by delivering different images to each eye using binocular parallax. Samsung says the technology displays products in full 360-degree rotation while maintaining image clarity.
The 32-inch model weighs 8.5 kg (18.7 lb) and measures 49.4 mm (1.94 in.) thick. It features full HD resolution (1,080 x 1,920) in a portrait-oriented 9:16 format and supports wall mounting options seen in conventional signage.
Samsung also confirmed plans to expand the lineup with a 55-inch model expected in August 2026. The 32-inch will launch in Canada in June 2026.
Building the ecosystem
Samsung is expanding its digital signage ecosystem with updates to its cloud-based Samsung VXT platform. New tools include scheduled screen presets and Smart Download, which reduces network strain by sharing content across connected displays.
The company has also added its AI Studio app, enabling users to generate signage-ready video content from a single product image and text prompt.
