1. Interactive display and exhibit producer Ideum recently developed a multi-touch table and integrated video wall for Mizrahi Developments’ sales office promoting The One, a Toronto skyscraper that will become Canada’s tallest building when complete.
2. Calgary-based artist Robert Ryan is using Drytac’s Protac overlaminate film and double-sided mounting adhesive to help increase the vividness of colours, stability and longevity of his photographic reproductions and other gallery pieces.
3. Astral, Bell Media’s out-of-home (OOH) advertising business, has unveiled what are reportedly Canada’s largest highway digital billboards. The two 17 x 8.5-m (56 x 28-ft) faces stand beside Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway, near Exhibition Place.
4. The Printing House (TPH), which specializes in short-run, on-demand production of signs, banners and other graphics at more than 70 locations across the country, has been recognized for the second year as one of Canada’s ‘greenest’ employers.
5. The recently announced winners of manufacturer Watchfire’s fourth annual LED Sign Awards include two large-scale, on-premise light-emitting diode (LED) boards installed in Southern Ontario in 2017.
