1. Tourisme Montreal has launched a new welcome project for visitors, which will see improved signs, displays and interactive terminals installed at the city’s transportation and information hubs between now and May 2017.
2. HP and the Digital Solutions Co-operative (Dscoop), a community of its customers, are partnering for the second annual Inkspiration Awards, a contest that celebrates the best graphics produced with Scitex, Latex and other printers.
3. Toronto’s Casa Loma, a Gothic Revival-style estate that has become a major tourist attraction and special event venue, was transformed visually with projection mapping for a Halloween attraction dubbed ‘Legends of Horror.’
4. The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) recently welcomed Rich Thompson, president of large-format printing and wrapping company AdGraphics, as the new chair for its 2017 board of directors.
5. A Signs Now franchise in Thunder Bay, Ont., has installed a series of signs and graphics in Intercity Shopping Centre to help navigate customers to a Tbaytel lounge where they can recharge their mobile phones for free.
