Here’s your quick morning update on news in the sign industry:
1. This summer, a new half-hour projection mapping show titled Northern Lights will illuminate the Parliament buildings in Ottawa each night, featuring images of Canada’s history, landscape, people and their achievements.
2. Avery Dennison reports 36 vehicle graphic installers and associated professionals passed its wrap certification test throughout the latter half of 2015, including one Canadian: Phil Aquin of Adhere Graphics in Elie, Man.
3. Pattison Outdoor’s digital out-of-home (DOOH) division, Onestop, has unveiled a nine-panel video matrix wall at Toronto’s Union Station, the busiest multi-modal passenger transportation hub in Canada.
4. Pattison has also signed an out-of-home (OOH) advertising program contract for Victoria International Airport, a growing hub for domestic and international flights and the second-largest airport in British Columbia.
