Laundry machines wrapped with Portraits of Hope
In its fifth partnership with the Portraits of Hope non-profit organization, Mactac recently donated 10 rolls of its pressure-sensitive, self-adhesive vinyl earlier for a series of laundromat beautifications and makeovers in New York, N.Y.
The facilities’ laundry machines were wrapped with vibrant, colourful graphics. The artwork was created by 200 local hospitalized and disadvantaged children in creative therapy programs, printed by Imagic in Burbank, Calif., and applied over two weeks by volunteer certified graphic installers.
The public art project debuted in May with an official unveiling and concert and is scheduled to conclude in mid-September, but the graphics are anticipated to stay up much longer, as determined by the participating laundromats.
