1. Astral Out of Home is deploying a new network of 2.1-m (84-in.) ‘4K’ ultra-high-definition (UHD) screens across Quebec City’s Réseau de Transporte de la Capitale (RTC) transit shelters, with an initial rollout of 20 digital signs scheduled for installation by the end of June.
2. Fujifilm Canada’s graphic systems division has installed North America’s first Inca Onset X3 flatbed press at print service provider (PSP) Holland & Crosby new plant in Mississauga, Ont., along with finishing equipment to accommodate increased capacity.
3. The Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada (OMAC) reports its members again donated more than $24 million worth of advertising space in 2015 to charities, not-for-profit organizations and community event organizers.
