Access Signs Inc., the 2020 Best of Canada’s Sign Industry Awards (BOCSIes) Sign Company of the Year, recently hired a well-known radio personality as its new chief marketing officer.
Virgin Radio Montreal’s Lee Haberkorn, the host of Weekends with Lee Haberkorn, will bring a fresh perspective to the business. Hiring someone with no previous sign industry experience was a key factor in the company’s choice.
“Upon reaching out to my network and broaching the opportunity, the discussion with Lee happened quite naturally,” said Lee Murphy, director of business development at Access Signs and 2020 recipient of the Sign Association of Canada’s (SAC’s) Young Professional of the Year. “His ideas and energy will certainly mix things up in terms of sign content not only for our company, but the industry as a whole going forward.”
“I may be new to the sign industry, but I was drawn to its creativity and endless possibilities,” said Haberkorn. “I specialize in out-of-the-box digital marketing, which is a fancy way of saying I like to have fun. But that’s exactly what the plan is: Let everyone know how dynamic we are while producing quality signage throughout North America. I can see why everyone else in the industry loves it.”
