PATTISON Outdoor, Canada’s leading out-of-home (OOH) advertising company, has announced a new environmental initiative called Planting it Forward. Starting this fall and continuing through 2028, the company will plant one tree for every static billboard structure it operates nationwide.

The project, developed by PATTISON’s internal environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Committee in partnership with Tree Canada, aims to plant approximately 20,000 seedlings in critical areas across Canada. The team will select tree species to support wildfire-affected landscapes, promote biodiversity, and aid species-at-risk recovery.

“Our ESG Committee was formed with a goal of driving purposeful green initiatives,” said Shannon Parker, co-chair of PATTISON’s ESG Committee. “Planting it Forward allows us to give back to communities we serve in a lasting way.”

PATTISON will be the first OOH company in Canada to implement a national tree-planting program, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship. Tree Canada will provide ongoing reports detailing the locations and impact of the planting efforts to ensure transparency and accountability.
