1. Digital menu boards from Mirada Media have been integrated into Montreal’s new java u Natrel Milk Bar café/bistro, the first of its kind in Canada.

2. ND Graphics, a Canada-wide distributor of graphic art supplies for the signmaking and screenprinting industries, has acquired its competitor Western Rim Industries (WRI), which has offices in Kelowna, B.C., and Mississauga, Ont.

3. Christie digital projectors provided dynamic visuals for tens of thousands of spectators at festivities for Singapore’s golden jubilee on August 9, with projection-mapping performances at three high-profile locations.

4. The Sign Depot in Kitchener, Ont., fabricated a three-dimensional (3-D) replica of a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) streetcar for the food court and dining area at the 2015 Pan Am Games athletes’ village.

5. Last month’s inaugural Digital Signage Expo South America (DSE SA) attracted 3,800 unique visitors, roughly the same number as the annual DSE in Las Vegas, Nev., and thus established new opportunities for Canadian and American companies.
