Wrapping beyond vehicles

National Graphic Solutions in Delta, B.C., reportedly the largest producer of fleet graphics in Western Canada, installed an HP Scitex LX800 industrial printer to help diversify its printing portfolio.
The machine is allowing the company, which opened in 1993, to produce longer runs of grand-format graphics on banner, mesh and canvas materials, among other media.
“We’ve been able to accomplish a variety of new projects, from working with Hollywood North for movie promotions to creating high-resolution museum reproductions,” says Jed Sheppard, president, “along with wraps for McDonald’s, Bombardier, Starbucks, Pepsi and British Columbia’s provincial government.”
Another recent project involved working with Vancouver’s municipal government and the Emily Carr University of Art and Design to wrap electrical boxes with student-designed graphics, to help enhance esthetics in the downtown core and conceal graffiti. This project used HP’s ‘latex’ durable aqueous inks.
National Graphics Solutions’ LX800 is also the first in Canada to be certified with 3M’s matched component system (MCS) warranty.
