Version Image Plus (VIP) in Laval, Que., has installed a Matic Ares Plus SLE fully automatic impulse welder, supplied through TG Graphics/Techno Gestass, to help improve productivity, quality and esthetics for its banners.

“This is the latest model of impulse welder,” says Christina Lefebvre, sales and marketing manager for TG Graphics. “It can weld multiple banners at one time and provide ‘invisible’ welds on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and textiles.”

The welder is the second machine VIP has purchased from Spain-based Matic. The first, earlier in 2013, was a Cronos automated sewing machine.
