U.S. Open serves up digital signage
September 24, 2014
At the recent U.S. Open Tennis Championships, digital merchandising agency Reality Interactive deployed a special tennis-themed interactive ‘app station’ on behalf of event sponsor Time Warner Cable (TWC).
Designed in the same style as digital signage deployments in TWC retail stores, the station displayed content relevant to the championships, including a news feed, on a 3.4-m (11-ft) touch screen. Meanwhile, in a dedicated TWC Studios space, attendees were also welcome to view the games live on a multi-screen video wall.
The U.S. Open ran from August 25 to September 8 at the National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in New York, N.Y.
