Page Graphics in Creemore, Ont., has installed a Seiko ColorPainter W-54s wide-format solvent inkjet printer from ND Graphics to improve the quality, reliability, speed and efficiency of its in-house printing.

“The ColorPainter has greatly improved our workflow,” says Gary Page, owner and principal designer. “Customers walking into the shop are immediately struck by the vibrant images coming off the machine.”

The company is using the machine to produce graphics for museum displays, outdoor interpretive signs and exhibits. Page says he has been impressed by the graphics’ smooth gradations, accurate flesh tones and large spot-colour areas with no banding or loss of vibrancy.

“Our confidence in the colours combined with the automatic take-up reel have more than doubled our productivity, as we can now print unattended through the night,” says Page.

Page’s clients include museums, parks, nature centres and botanical gardens.
