Ingram Micro, a wholesale technology distributor that has become known in recent years for its digital signage business unit, has appointed Ernest Park senior vice-president (SVP) and chief information officer (CIO).

He replaces Mario Leone, who left the company earlier this year. He will be responsible for Ingram Micro’s worldwide information technology (IT) and business systems, supporting transactions on five continents.

Park brings nearly 30 years’ experience in IT and shared services in the computer, distribution, retail and diversified manufacturing industries, including time with Honeywell International and Maytag. Most recently, he was vice-president (VP) and CIO for 3M.

“Ernie has an excellent track record in business performance for multinational organizations through technology and efficiency,” says Ingram Micro CEO Alain Monié, to whom Park will report. “We are confident he will take our company to new levels at a pivotal period in our growth.”
