Sens have a vision for arena digital signage

The National Hockey League’s (NHL’s) Ottawa Senators have unveiled Canadian Tire Centre Vision, a new 700-screen high-definition (HD) digital signage network throughout the team’s venue for home games.
Cyril Leeder, team president (pictured, centre), announced the project earlier this month with partners from retailer Canadian Tire and information technology (IT) manufactuer Cisco Systems. Canadian Tire Centre becomes the first NHL venue in the country to implement Cisco’s digital video and content distribution system, which provides centralized control of the HD content. Live coverage and interactive advertising will be customized for each game, concert or other event.
“Canadian Tire and the Senators are committed to elevating the fan experience through media-rich, personalized entertainment experiences,” says Cisco Canada’s public sector vice-president (VP) Kim Devooght (pictured, left).
“We are thrilled to further reinforce this venue as a premier sports and entertainment destination,” says Landon French, VP of sports partnerships for Canadian Tire (pictured, right).
