California-based wide-format inkjet printer provider Roland DGA Corp. has announced its 2019 Born-to-Wrap workshop schedule.

While the company has been offered these workshops for more than 12 years, this year’s expanded schedule will be its most extensive to date, with classes being offered in more locations.

In addition to its comprehensive two-day “Basics and Beyond” wrap workshops, the company will also be offering specialized four-hour “Skills Training” and free three-hour “Inside the Wrap Shop” classes, which will be held in conjunction with many of The NBM Shows taking place in 2019. A total of 26 Born-to-Wrap classes will be conducted by Louisville, Ky.-based vehicle wrap installation and business management instruction experts, Digital EFX Wraps.

The Basics and Beyond workshops are designed for new wrap business owners and installers and will provide a thorough overview of the vehicle wrap process along with tips for running a successful wrap shop. Attendees will also receive pointers for getting the most out of their wide-format digital printing equipment for vehicle wrap and graphics applications.

Those on a tighter schedule can attend the Skills Training and Inside the Wrap Shop classes. While the Skills Training class is centred around wrap installation with hands-on instruction in a simulated shop environment, the Inside the Wrap Shop sessions are business-oriented focusing on establishing and operating a successful wrap operation.

Media manufacturers Arlon, Avery Dennison, Orafol, and 3M have partnered with Roland to supply wrap film and laminate to be used in classes and will also provide free wrap media kits to Basics and Beyond and Skills Training workshop attendees.

“We’re very excited about this year’s expanded Born-to-Wrap workshops schedule, which offers different instructional opportunities in many locations across the country,” said Roland DGA’s colour products and cutters product manager Daniel Valade. “The new half-day classes are the perfect complement to our two-day workshops, especially for those planning to attend The NBM Shows held in those cities.”
