OOH veteran sees 3D digital signage future

Magnetic 3D, which designs and produces ‘glasses-free’ autostereoscopic three-dimensional (3-D) digital signage displays, has appointed Joseph Matriss vice-president (VP) of new business development.
Matriss has nearly 30 years’ experience in the signage and out-of-home (OOH) industries. When he was special projects manager at ArtKraft Strauss, he worked on such high-profile deployments as a multi-million-dollar light-emitting diode (LED) ticker for the Morgan Stanley Building at Times Square in New York, N.Y. Since then, he has overhauled Disney’s signs on Broadway, provided media consulting services to OOH companies and founded the digital OOH (DOOH) firm Park Cast Network.
“There are very people who have more experience within the signage and DOOH industries than Joseph,” says Tom Zerega, Magnetic 3D’s founder and CEO.
In his new role, Matriss will focus on client acquisitions and relationships, corporate partnerships, real-estate acquisitions, campaign deployments and location scouting.
