OOH expert joins LED sign manufacturer

Watchfire Signs, which manufactures digital billboards and light-emitting diode (LED) signs for out-of-home (OOH) advertising, has hired Bob Klausmeier in a sales role to lead new business development initiatives in Canada and the U.S.

Klausmeier has more than 35 years’ experience in the electronic display industry, having been involved with many notable and large-scale LED display deployments around the world, with a focus primarily on sales and marketing. His most recent venture, however, was as founder and publisher of Out of Home magazine.

In October, ownership of the magazine was sold to its employees, allowing Klausmeier to return to his career roots by joining Watchfire.

“I am thrilled to return to the streets as a salesperson,” he says. “In my work for other manufacturers, I’ve had the opportunity to gain unique perspective of the products and companies that define this market. I joined Watchfire because I believe it has the vision to dominate the market for many years to come.”
