Omnipresent printing

To improve productivity, Winnipeg-based Omniscreen installed an Acuity Advance HS flatbed printer with a roll media option from Fujifilm Canada.
The 35-year-old screenprinting company is venturing into digital ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) flatbed printing for the first time to better meet customer demands and increase efficiency.
“We’ve been able to lower our costs significantly because we no longer need to mount and laminate,” says David Boning, co-owner. “In-line white ink is opening new markets for full-colour prints on a variety of substrates that were previously unattainable with our screenprinting or roll-to-roll digital printing presses. We can also offer wider banners, which we have been asked for but couldn’t fulfil before the Acuity.”
Omniscreen produces point-of-purchase (POP) graphics, traffic and parking signs, banners, lawn signs, placards, directories, decals and other displays for print buyers in every province and territory.
