Mixed-used development demands world of wayfinding
Toronto-based environmental graphic design (EGD) firm Entro recently completed a wayfinding system for World on Yonge, a mixed-use development just north of the city, where signs must guide both residents and visitors to a broad range of destinations.
Working with Liberty Developments and Forward Signs, Entro’s team developed a common visual language for the 4-ha (10-acre) site’s two residential condominium towers, offices, hotel, two shopping malls (one for residents, one for the public) and parking lots. After choosing colours, patterns and typography, Entro designed and Forward Signs produced site identification (ID) signage, interior and exterior directional signs, shopping and elevator directories, amenity signage, wide-format printed graphics and parking signs.
More information about this project will appear in the November issue of Sign Media Canada.
