On October 4, Mattatall Signs in Dartmouth, N.S., joined eight other International Sign Association (ISA) member companies to take part in Manufacturing Day, opening their facilities to students, political leaders and their communities at large.

ISA has partnered with the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM) to help improve the public’s perception and knowledge of careers in manufacturing, as well as the value of manufacturing to the economy. ISA is specifically seeking to educate a potential workforce about the sign industry by reaching out to students in high schools, vocational schools and community colleges.

Mattatall Signs (pictured) was the only Canadian company to participate. The others, all in the U.S., included Watchfire Signs, Federal Heath, North American Signs, Hilton Displays, Lauretano Sign Group, Cummings Signs, Kieffer & Co. and Poyant Signs.
