Inside Quebec’s bi-annual sign industry gathering in 2026

The Association Québécoise de l’Industrie de l’Enseigne (AQIE+) hosted the third edition of Le Grand Rendez-vous on March 16 and 17 at the Sheraton Laval Convention Centre, bringing together Quebec’s signage, vehicle lettering, visual communications, and large-format printing sectors for two days of business networking, product discovery, and professional development.
The trade show welcomed approximately 500 visitors and more than 50 exhibitors, creating opportunities for suppliers, manufacturers, installers, printers, designers, and sign professionals to meet directly, exchange ideas, and explore new products and technologies. Exhibitors showcased materials, equipment, printing solutions, and services aimed at supporting production, installation, and business growth across the visual communications industry.
Strengthening industry
Co-chaired by Jebb Nucci (co-owner of Enseignes iCubic) and Karl Boisvert (president of Lettrage Boisvert), the 2026 edition focused on strengthening industry connections while highlighting innovation and evolving market trends in Quebec’s sign and graphics sector.
In addition to the exhibition floor, the event featured mini-conferences and presentations designed to support knowledge sharing and industry education. Sessions addressed trends, best practices, and the changing role of signage and large-format printing in commercial environments. One featured presentation by Carla Bodo explored the history of artistic signage in Montreal and its contribution to the city’s visual and commercial identity.

Networking and awards
Networking activities were also a central part of the event. On the evening of March 16, attendees gathered for the Grand Rendez-vous Cocktail in the Sheraton Laval’s Salle Lavalloise, where exhibitors, visitors, members, and partners connected in a more informal setting alongside live jazz music and refreshments.
The event also recognized contributions from across the industry through several awards and honours presented during the cocktail reception.
The AQIE presented Robert Blyth of Installation Stalaich as Personality of the Year, and Maxime Lacroix of Zone Enseignes and Transworld Signs as Entrepreneur of the Year. Sabrina Théoret from FXBoisvert Signs was recognized as the industry’s young emerging talent. Additionally, Robert Dupuis, president of Enseigne Perfection, and Benoit Lacas of Groupe BLH were inducted into the AQIE Hall of Fame.
