Holt Renfrew video walls aim high

Gridcast Media, a digital signage consultancy in Richmond Hill, Ont., recently partnered with light-emitting diode (LED) display provider NanoLumens to design giant video walls for a Holt Renfrew store in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
The high-end department store’s redesigned façade includes six 8.8 x 1.2-m (29 x 4-ft) panels, which function together as two three-display arrays at either side of the entrance. Using Scala digital signage software provided by Toronto-based Dot2Dot Communications, their on-screen imagery showcases the latest fashion trends. Holt Renfrew can run specific content on each individual column or have it span across the entire façade.
The installation is one of the largest indoor retail displays in Canada, using more than 1.5 million LED packages.
