Giant inflatable cowboy hat floats into Toronto

Tourism Calgary made a promotional visit to Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre in May with an eye-catching calling card, which may well be the world’s largest inflatable white cowboy hat to ever float on water.

As part of a four-day ‘Under the Hat’ event, Tourism Calgary spent two days at the centre—May 17 and 18—with partners representing Calgary Stampede, Travel Alberta, Banff Lake Louise Tourism, Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance and Heritage Park Historical Village. The giant hat floated in Toronto’s nearby harbour.

“We’re here to invite Torontonians to visit Calgary this summer, with a weekend of fun and engaging entertainment and activities designed to surprise,” said Jeff Hessel, vice-president (VP) of marketing for Tourism Calgary.
