Forward, ever forward

Toronto-based Forward Signs has installed a 3000-series computer numerical control (CNC) router from MultiCam Canada, primarily to cut aluminum for channel letters.
Founded in 1986 to serve businesses within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Forward Signs has expanded its customer base over the years, gaining clients across North America, and moved into its current 4,645-m2 (50,000-sf) facility, with 88 employees. Its production capabilities include laser cutting, digital printing, waterjet cutting, wide-format vinyl application and lamination.
Forward Sign’s clients have included retailers, municipal governments, post-secondary institutions, business improvement areas (BIAs), shopping centres, franchise systems and commercial construction contractors.
The new CNC router features an all-steel plate frame construction and moving-gantry design, allowing the machining of large parts while maintaining a relatively small footprint, with an automatic tool change (ATC) option for greater flexibility.
