Esko broadens services through acquisition

Global packaging provider Esko is expanding its services to better streamline its offerings in product packaging, management, and production.

The Belgium company has acquired Chicago-based label and artwork management software firm Blue Software from Diversis Capital and Schawk Digital Solutions. The acquisition will allow Esko to provide clients with digital solutions and packaging using Blue’s label and artwork management software.

“We are seeking to reduce time to market, cost, and quality-risk in the end-to-end packaging value chain,” said Udo Panenka, president of Esko. “The acquisition of Blue enhances Esko’s unique set of tools to enable brand owners and their partners to improve all three.”
