Toronto-based environmental graphic design (EGD) firm Entro has designed signage, other wayfinding elements and ticket validation machines for York Region Transit’s (YRT’s) new dedicated busways.

Under the ‘VivaNext’ brand, a 36-km (22.4-mi) network of bus rapid transit (BRT) lanes is being developed across Ontario’s York Region—including Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket and Vaughan, Ont.—in a multi-year phased approach. Entro was commissioned to design elements of bus station platforms and interchanges, which complement the architecture of the entire system.

Entro has been working with both York Region and Delcan, a Markham-based engineering firm, on the project.
