Digital signage marketer expands from North American to global scope

Leyard and Planar, which produce, distribute and support video walls and other large-format digital signage applications, have promoted Adam Schmidt to executive vice-president (EVP) of sales and marketing.

Schmidt joined Planar in 2001 and held a variety of customer-facing positions over the years in marketing, business development, sales and customer service. Having most recently served as vice-president (VP) of sales for North America, he now takes on strategic oversight, alignment and management of both Leyard and Planar’s global marketing and sales operations.

“We’ve had great success in joining Leyard and Planar,” says Zach Zhang, Leyard’s co-founder and chair. “With Adam’s success through this acquisition and integration process, I know he is the right talent to provide leadership to further benefit our employees, partners and customers.”
