Charles Ainsley has retired from his position of president of RMG Networks, which provides digital out-of-home (DOOH) media and digital signage technology around the world. The change took effect on July 12.

Ainsley was CEO of Symon Communications, which focused on corporate communications via digital signage, from 2002 until it was acquired by RMG earlier this year. Although he has stepped down, he will provide transitional services to RMG throughout the rest of this year.

“Charles was instrumental in orchestrating the combination of Symon and RMG,” says Garry McGuire, CEO of RMG, “and we are thankful for his leadership during the post-merger integration period.”

“I am grateful for the support I’ve received from the RMG management team, our customers and our employees around the globe,” says Ainsley. “RMG is on a clear path to a bright future. I will always be a fan and shareholder.”

Before Symon, Ainsley held senior leadership roles at IBM, AT&T and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
