Digital imaging exec takes on adhesive coatings

Drytac, which manufactures window graphic films, double-sided tapes, mounting adhesives, self-adhesive print media, heat-activated and pressure-sensitive laminates and other adhesive materials, has hired Paul Vanderweide as operations manager for Canada.
Vanderweide was previously president of Macula Technik in Mississauga, Ont., an independent installer of and service provider for large-format digital imaging equipment across Canada, representing such brands as Durst, Zünd and Caldera.
In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the production, coating, converting, quality control and distribution of products from Drytac’s facilities in Concord and Brampton, Ont. He will also liaise with customers and suppliers throughout North America and Europe for Multi-Tac, a Toronto-based adhesive coating company Drytac recently acquired.
“With the addition of Paul, we can strengthen existing Multi-Tac and Drytac customer and supplier relationships, to ensure we’re considered a valuable partner,” says Richard Kelley, chair and CEO of Drytac.
