Cineplex wins three awards for digital signage

Canada’s Cineplex Digital Media (CDM) has been honoured with three awards for some of its digital signage projects from 2016, courtesy of the Summit International Awards (SIA) for marketing communications.

First, a pair of video walls—comprising 15 1.4-m (55-in.) screens—for the Bank of Montreal (BMO) Financial Group’s flagship offices in downtown Toronto won the Visionary Award for best use of animation and motion graphics.

Next, free-standing touch-screen kiosks (see video above) for the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) and the province’s ministry of transportation’s Onroute service centres won the Innovator Award in the interactive display and point-of-purchase (POP) category.

Finally, an on-screen maple chipotle burgers campaign for A&W Food Services of Canada won a Leader Award in the video series category.
