Canadian Museum of Nature upgrades visitor experience with digital signage

Ottawa-based UTG Digital Media has provided a mobile device charging station and standup displays for the city’s Canadian Museum of Nature (CMN), each featuring digital signage with wayfinding, exhibit and event information.

The charging station, with capacity for up to eight mobile devices, features a built-in screen that displays instructions, promotions, event listings and advertisements. The plug-and-play stand-up displays, meanwhile, replace earlier static information posters and UTG’s online content management system (CMS) allows museum staff to preschedule content or publish it in real time.

“The new digital signage allows us to more effectively guide our visitors with daily program details,” says Angeline Laffin, CMN’s visitor experience director.
