Canadian digital signage wins ICX Elevate Awards

Canada’s Cineplex Digital Media (CDM) has won two of the Interactive Customer Experience (ICX) Association’s 2017 Elevate Awards, which recognize projects for creativity, innovation and imagination.

A seasonal campaign for the Bank of Montreal’s (BMO’s) video wall at First Canadian Place in downtown Toronto won the first award for best ICX content in the ‘point of wait’ category, with judges calling it “gorgeous visually” and “contextually relevant.”

The second award, for best ICX deployment in the travel category, honoured CDM’s deployment of free-standing touch-screen kiosks for the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) and the province’s ministry of transportation’s Onroute service centres. Judges called the kiosks a “nice improvement over the rack of brochures that used to show local attractions.”
