Montreal-based MP Reproductions has transitioned from photographic services to a variety of printing—including large-format output—with the recent installation of an HP Designjet Z6200 printer.

The Designjet is helping the company increase production speed, expand colour printing options for clients and improve overall efficiency.

“Since installing it, we print everything from point-of-purchase (POP) displays and large banners to posters and graphics, expanding our overall revenue stream,” says Franco Maugeri, production manager. “We are also able to offer new ink colours to expand our client base. The new ink configuration, including chromatic red, allows us to print different shades and match what our clients are looking for. There is little we can’t do.”

The company is using the printer to fulfil orders from a variety of clients, including those in the educational, medical, cosmetics and municipal sectors.

“MP was designated the official printer for a large conference in Montreal,” says Maugeri. “We also produce posters for fashion shows, signage for hospitals all over Quebec and backlit prints for Montreal’s streets.”
