  • Nazdar SourceOne, which supplies digital printing and screenprinting equipment, inks and supplies, has received two awards from Worthington Cylinders, recognizing its assistance in automating screenprinting processes. Worthington’s vice-president (VP) of manufacturing, Jim Knox (pictured, right), presented the Technical Achievement and Certified Supplier awards to Nazdar senior account executive Cary Wise (left), who helped modify an ink and its pumping delivery system.
  • Montreal-based digital signage software developer BroadSign International has won business research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan’s 2012 Global Award for Growth Leadership, recognizing its expanding business with deployments across many vertical industries and countries. The award is presented to companies for capturing the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for the previous three years.
  • Roland DGA’s VersaUV light-emitting capacitor (LEC) printer/cutter line won silver in the special ultraviolet (UV) coatings category of the Foil & Specialty Effects Association’s (FSEA’s) 2012 Golden Leaf Awards competition.
  • The Digital Signage Expo (DSE) won a Gold Expo’s Choice for Innovation in Tradeshows and Events (EXCITE) Award for its online platform, which not only promotes the annual DSE itself, but also features pre-show developments and post-show information and statistics. The EXCITE Awards are presented by Expo magazine.
  • Laminators’ Omega-Bond solid-core sign panel has earned Underwriters Laboratories (UL) recognition as an approved component for electrical signs.
  • During the 2012 InfoComm professional audiovisual (AV) communications show, Peerless-AV’s Universal Video Wall Cart won the Best Digital Signage Product Award in the non-display category. The mobile cart holds up to nine flat-panel displays, with space for media players and cabling.
