CPIA to host printing industry webinar on Canada Post

Canada’s mail system and its future role in the printing sector will be the focus of a free industry roundtable hosted by the Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA) on Wednesday, December 3, from 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET. The virtual event, sponsored by Supremex, will feature experts and industry stakeholders discussing the challenges and reforms needed to ensure a stable, competitive mail system.

Speakers include:

• Patrick Bartlett, executive director, National Association of Major Mail Users (NAMMU)

• Richard Lehmann, director of business development, Canada Post Corporation

• The ongoing labour deadlock between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and its impact on printers, and practical strategies to mitigate disruptions.

• Restructuring recommendations from the Kaplan Report and the follow-up response from the Government of Canada.

• Strategies to rebuild customer confidence and bring back direct mail clients—including perspectives from advertising and marketing leaders.
