Mississauga transit seeks feedback on wayfinding signage

MiWay, Mississauga, Ont.’s municipal public transport agency, has asked customers for feedback on updating wayfinding signage at nine transitway stations to make finding bus stops easier. The agency is also planning to increase service frequency on multiple routes, revise some routes to improve travel times, and introduce new routes to meet the growing demand.
MiWay will develop new transitway wayfinding signage to help customers find their bus stops. This will include the City Centre Transit Terminal near Square One and eight other City-owned and operated transitway stations in Mississauga.
The agency has asked residents to provide feedback on the new signage in person at the public information sessions at the City Centre Transit Terminal and Renforth Station or online by visiting the Transitway Wayfinding Study project webpage and filling out a survey.
Among service improvements, based on customer demand, that will be implemented from April 2025 to April 2026, are Route 39 Britannia having new routing to improve travel times along Britannia Road; new Route 50 Lisgar to provide service between Meadowvale Town Centre and Erin Mills Town Centre; a new Route 135 Eglinton Express to provide service from Winston Churchill Station and Renforth Station; and increasing both weekday and weekend service on multiple bus routes.
