Change at the top for printer manufacturer

Gamper

Grand-format industrial digital inkjet printer manufacturer Durst has named Christoph Gamper its new CEO. He succeeds Richard Plock, who has led the company for more than 20 years and now joins the board of directors as president.

The change at the top was planned well in advance. Since mid-2011, as ‘designated’ CEO and executive vice-president (EVP), Gamper has been responsible for Durst’s industrial segments, as well as organizing a new textile printing division. Prior to joining Durst, he was vice-president (VP) of Datacolor, which develops colour management technology, and held management roles in the optical data media industry and in content production and distribution.

“We are very happy to have found a worthy successor for Richard’s achievements, with strong leadership qualities and experience managing globally active companies,” says Christof Oberrauch, outgoing chair.

“We have the technological know-how and innovative drive,” says Gamper. “We will continue to develop our corporate culture, expand our presence in international markets and optimize the ‘value added’ for our customer base.”
