Print Fast, a Toronto-based printing company, has started a free online greeting-card promotion that enables people to personally thank the city’s front-line workers in the fight against COVID-19.

The ‘Thank a Real Life Hero for Free’ program enables Torontonians to visit the company’s website and send a thank-you card to a front-line worker of their choice. Residents can choose from an array of specially designed templates, customize one using the site’s design tools, or upload artwork to create their own. The company will then mail these cards to recipients on the customer’s behalf. While the service is free, participating customers have the option of purchasing a gift to add to the card or donating in support of COVID-19 relief efforts at Scarborough Health Network (SHN).

“These are anxious and uncertain times,” said the company’s CEO, Thurairatnam Thusyandan. “While most of us are staying home, our local heroes are working hard to protect us and make sure we still have access to essentials. We want to create an opportunity to thank them in a meaningful and heartfelt way.”

To kick-start the campaign, Print Fast has donated $5000 to SHN, as well as 100 clear face shields for hospital staff. The shop will also donate all proceeds from the campaign to SHN Foundation’s COVID-19 emergency fund.

“Print Fast has always been a great corporate citizen in our community,” said Deputy Mayor and Scarborough Centre councilor, Michael Thompson. “It is no surprise they have stepped forward once again to help Torontonians show their appreciation to front-line workers.”

The company is encouraging local artists to join the program by donating their designs. All artwork can be emailed to thankahero@printfast.ca.
