Teams realigned for printer/cutter sales and marketing

Roland DGA, which sells wide-format inkjet printer-cutters in Canada and the U.S., has announced a series of promotions and appointments within its marketing, product management and sales departments.

Promoted from director to senior director of marketing and product management Andrew Oransky has joined Roland’s senior management team. His additional duties will include co-ordinating product planning and global marketing with Japan-based parent company Roland DG.

Senior director of sales Joe Dawson has also joined the senior management team. He will continue to be responsible for key sales functions for inkjet devices, vinyl cutters, engravers, supplies and accessories.

Grant Davis, previously business development manager for ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) printers, has been promoted to national accounts manager. He will focus on supporting key accounts across the U.S.

Colour workflow specialist Steven Tu has been promoted to product manager for UV-curing printers. He will be responsible for co-ordinating new product launches and growing business in the packaging, label, promotional and industrial printing markets.

Daniel Valade, who has held numerous positions in Roland DGA’s inside sales and customer service departments, has been appointed product manager for the VersaStudio BN-20 desktop printer/cutter and the GX line of cutters.

Finally, Lori Babigian has joined the company as marketing director. She has spent the majority of her career in the photo imaging industry, including positions with Printronix, Noritsu America and Kodak.
