Hyundai Auto Canada has selected Charlottetown-based software developer ScreenScape Networks to provide content to its new digital signage network, which will include video displays in showrooms, service zones and waiting areas.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to communicate more effectively with our customers, leveraging our investments in online and broadcast video production,” says Michael Handy, Hyundai Canada’s parts marketing manager. “ScreenScape’s platform will help us co-ordinate our marketing efforts with our dealers with an in-store channel to inform and entertain customers.”

While Hyundai is currently building a place-based network of Internet-connected digital signs across its own 192 dealerships—with more than 30 already using the platform today—it will also be able to reach other businesses’ ScreenScape displays.

“We welcome Hyundai to the ScreenScape community, which includes new car dealers, tire centres, quick-lube operators and parts retailers,” says Kevin Dwyer, CEO of ScreenScape. “It is gratifying to see partnerships in this industry expressed through place-based media.”
