The Durst Rho P10 250 ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) inkjet printer has won a European Digital Press (EDP) award for best hybrid UV printer, as announced during the Federation of European Screen Printers Associations (FESPA) 2013 expo in London, England.

EDP award-winners are chosen on the basis of innovative technical capabilities, whether they improve speed, enhance usability and functionality, minimize environmental impact, boost quality and/or decrease costs for the user. First, the EDP Association’s (EDPA’s) technical committee evaluates new products. Then, a general assembly of EDP editors considers the committee’s recommendations and makes final decisions.

Durst’s hybrid printer, which can switch between rigid and flexible media, is intended for the production of outdoor signage, backlit graphics, point-of-purchase (POP) displays and window graphics.
