Montreal-based X2O Media’s software has been implemented at a new theatre complex in Singapore, the Star Performing Arts Centre (PAC), driving content to more than 100 screens on nine levels.

Completed in November 2012, the Star PAC includes a 5,000-seat auditorium, a 770-m2 (8,288-sf) multi-purpose hall, a 300-seat outdoor amphitheatre, a rooftop reception area and ancillary studios. The new digital signage network is used for wayfinding, to promote upcoming events and to display meeting room information. From outside, patrons can watch live streaming performances on a large light-emitting diode (LED) screen.

“We needed a digital signage system equal to the task of delivering diverse content and live streaming to multiple screens, while seamlessly integrating into our existing network,” says Jack Ho, the Star PAC’s chief operating officer (COO). “The X2O platform’s flexibility, graphics, real-time communication and central management tools made it the choice for our requirements.”
