CBS Outdoor, an international out-of-home (OOH) advertising firm soon to be converted into a real estate investment trust (REIT), has hired Donald R. Shassian as executive vice-president (EVP) and chief financial officer (CFO).

Reporting to CEO Jeremy Male, Shassian will oversee all of the company’s financial operations as it separates from CBS and is converted into an REIT. He previously served as EVP and CFO for Frontier Communications and RSL Communications.

“Don is a veteran executive who brings more than 30 years’ experience in finance and media,” says Leslie Moonves, president and CEO of CBS. “Knowing he will play a key role in our strategic plans for outdoor adds to our confidence.”

CBS Outdoor operates in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and South America.
