Producing lifelike graphics

Life Like Imaging in Mississauga, Ont., recently installed a new Anapurna M2540 flatbed wide-format printer from Agfa Graphics.
The ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) inkjet press is reportedly capable of printing up to 45 m2 (484 sf) per hour and features a pin-registered flatbed area of 2.5 x 1.5 m (8.3 x 5 ft). It prints six colours—cyan, magenta, yellow and key/black (CMYK), plus light cyan and light magenta—and white, featuring a separate on-board ink management system that automatically stirs the white ink at regular intervals to ensure it is always print-ready. With two table zones and four compartments, it is possible to print different jobs within the same run and still maintain vacuum hold-down.
Founded in 1990, Life Like specializes in the large-format digital printing of signs, but also prints advertising graphics on furniture, golf balls and ceramic items.
