Wayne Signs in Markham, Ont., installed a 1000-series computer numerical control (CNC) router from MultiCam Canada to assist in the production of channel letters.

Owned by Wayne Huang, the company specializes in supplying channel letters to a variety of restaurant chains. As a recent startup, Wayne Signs has had the opportunity to invest in automated equipment from the start, avoiding more labour-intensive work.

The router features solid steel-frame construction, a high-frequency spindle, an EZ Control user interface, automatic tool calibration, a high-speed three-axis motion controller, precision dual X-axis micro-stepping drives, a cast dust collector shroud and pressure foot and 25-mm (0.1-in.) linear ball-bearing rails.
