1. The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) in Winnipeg has won the Society for Experiential Design’s (SEGD’s) 2016 Sylvia Harris Award and a Merit Award for some of its newest digital signage installations.

2. Ottawa-based UTG Digital Media has installed a custom LED staircase display that is reportedly the first of its kind in Las Vegas, Nev. It was unveiled at the grand opening of the city’s Jewel Nightclub and will remain a permanent fixture.

3. Cineplex Digital Media helped design a new video wall for BMO Financial Group’s flagship offices in downtown Toronto’s First Canadian Place (FCP). It is reportedly the largest digital canvas for any financial institution in North America.

4. The International Sign Association (ISA) has appointed Lisa Queeney director of finance. She succeeds Bill Winslow, who retired after 12 years with the association.

5. Digital signage software developer Four Winds Interactive (FWI) has completed a large-scale, multi-year project for Courtyard By Marriott, bringing touch screens to lobbies and public areas of its hotels around the world.
