3A Composites introduces recyclable graphic display foamboard

3A Composites has introduced Smart-X, its first heavy-duty graphic display foamboard that is 100 per cent recyclable.

Smart-X comprises an all-plastic sheet with a moisture-resistant expanded polystyrene (EPS) core and two layers of ultraviolet-resistant (UV-resistant) high-impact polystyrene (HIPS). As a mono-material composite, manufactured without applying any adhesives between its cores and facers, it can reportedly be installed outside without delaminating and for up to two years without any significant colour change.

The material can be direct-printed, routed and milled for signs, displays and lettering.
